SCHELDEPRIJS

Scheldeprijs’ course covers both the Netherlands and Belgium, starting in Terneuzen and finishing with several circuits of the town of Schoten to the north of Antwerp. Due to the flat parcour, Scheldeprijs attracts many of the best sprinters in the world and is often called ‘the sprinter’s world championships’. The race was founded in 1907 and is oldest continual cycle race in Flanders. In 2021 a women’s edition was added on the same day as the men’s race.
